Ban on wearing Hijab only for students, not teachers

On February 23, it is clarified that the ban on wearing Hijab is only applied to students, not to teachers. On February 10, the Karnataka High Court restrained students from wearing hijab or saffron shawls in educational institutes like schools and colleges. However, an advocate who was representing a student’s petition said told that teachers were also not allowed to enter schools and colleges for wearing hijab in different parts of the state, so Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi clarified that not wearing hijab is applied only to students.
