On December 24, Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh (Bhajji) announced his retirement from all formats of cricket. He announced his retirement on YouTube. He remembered his cricket journey from the streets of Jalandhar to international cricket. He said that the Indian jersey gives him motivation, throughout his cricket carrier. He wants to announce his retirement from last year and today the time has come.

Though he was not playing active cricket because of the commitment with Kolkata Knight Riders he wanted to be with them in the IPL season. He also wanted to say goodbye to the Indian cricket in Indian jersey but fade had something else approved.

He thanked everyone who had been with him throughout his cricket journey. He felt nostalgic by remembering his match in Kolkata when he became the first Indian bowler who took a hat-trick in test cricket and also picked up 32 wickets in 3 matches, which is an unbreakable record so far. He said that he has no words to express his emotions about the victories of WT20 in the 2007 and 2011 World Cup.
