Why keep your driving license or RC with you when you can show it online?

The State Transport Commission Punjab has issued orders regarding traffic rules. Vehicle drivers do not need to keep a hard copy of their Driving License (DL) and Registration Certificate (RC). If traffic police, RTO, or DTO stops any vehicle driver for checking, one can show their downloaded documents through MParivahan App or Digilocker. Moreover, inspecting officers have to accept it.

Transport Department Punjab has issued letters to all the authorities, DC, SDM, and traffic police regarding the abovementioned orders. However, if any person disobeys any traffic rule then which document would be used for a challan? it is not clear yet by the Transport Department Mohali.
